What is your official title at Hop & Barrel?
My official title at Hop & Barrel is beer tender.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Mornings are a little bit slower, so there is more cleaning people start coming in around three o’clock, so that is when my day picks up. I serve them beer and talk with them.
How did you come to be a part of the Hop & Barrel team?
I had a friend who was working here, and she asked if I was interested in being a beer tender. I had never done that before, but I was excited about a new opportunity!
What makes Hop & Barrel unique?
One thing that I enjoy is all of the events that they host. I like working the events because it is fun, goes fast and you get to meet a lot of new people.
Why craft beer and brewing?
I love beer. Before this job, I did not know anything about it, especially how it was made. I am slowly starting to learn more about it and am excited to be helping brew with all the girls who work here on the Brew Like A Girl series.
What is your favorite Hop & Barrel beer?
Right now, it is the blood orange sap. It is fruity, light and they make it with maple syrup as opposed to water.
